Survey, Pathogenicity and Molecular Characterization of Root Pathogens Associated with Root Rot of Cedrus deodara (Roxb.) G. Don in District Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India

Root rot disease is one of the most serious diseases that significantly reduces plant's productivity, commonly known as collar rot, foot or damping off. The main symptom this condition newly emerging seedlings collapse and die in areas with severe infection, majority may before after emergence. Due to C. Deodara which our state tree, damage caused by it there was urgent need identify study so develop proper management strategies. In Himachal Pradesh, a field survey carried out know incidence root pathogen Cedrus growing regions district Solan. included Kanaghat, Solan, Chail mountains. Kandaghat range covered Kiari, Karol, Bisha nurseries, Solan Shilli, Nauni Chiunth, Chail, Gaura nurseries were all covered. During deodara, 10.90 62.15%incidence recorded nurseries. Maximum (37.35%) followed (33.85%) (30.93%), respectively. Amongst found that,Bisha nursery had maximum (62.15%) (48.46%) Chiunth (44.65), Cultural morphological characteristics studied identified Rhizoctonia solani. ITS1/ITS4 markers employed for molecular identification confirmed be binucleate AG-E. For pathogen, isolation frequency also observed three solan ranges. Isolation comprising two ranges showed 37.71%followed (34.42%) (19.37%), Numerous pathogens isolated, however, AG-E, Fusarium oxysporum, Phoma exigua occur frequently. Binucleate AG-E often isolated primary pathogens, occurring at 50.23%, P. (18.98%) F. oxysporum (7.49%).
